EASYBUTTON (CO-CREATOR, 2023-ONGOING)
EasyButton is an accessibility device created to empower individuals with fine motor impairments to button their clothing independently.
Developed in collaboration with individuals with cerebral palsy and quadriplegia, EasyButton prioritizes independence and user-friendly design.
This project has been an independent side endeavor for me and two of my electrical engineering classmates.
As the industrial and product designer, I aimed to maximize ergonomics and functionality while optimizing production manufacturability.
Ergonomic design optimized through collaboration with stake holders allows users to “Lasso” buttons and secure them
Custom PCB combines functionality of USB-C charging, LED UI indicators, and dual use power/actuation control button
JST connectors on PCB allow for zero-solder connectivity to battery and linear actuator
